Pomeroy Coat of Arms with a simplified ducal coronet.

Thomas Pomeroy (c 1443-1493) of Bowden near Totnes was made a Knight of the Bath on the coronation of Henry VII’s queen Elizabeth of York, 1486.

While a crest is personal to the armiger,  this appears to be used as a mark ofcadency by his grandson, Richard Pomeroy, who sold Bowden to John Giles prior to 1558.
